Four KZN players, namely, Sebastian Terblanche (Royal Durban GC), Dian Wilmot (Royal Durban GC), James Truter (Victoria CC) and Luke Ackermann (Maritzburg GC) will attend the free state open to be played at Heron Banks Golf Estate, near Sasolburg in the Free State, commencing on the 20th January, 2023 in order to expose these players to the challenges of competing against top players from all over the country.

Heron Banks Golf Estate is a championship golf course situated on the banks of the Vaal river and hosted the 2022 SA seniors inter-provincial tournament.

The experience gained will put the four players in good stead going forward and will hopefully increase their chances of being selected at a higher level to represent KZN as members of inter-provincial teams.

The players will be accompanied by Mr. Neil Bennett, the KZN junior golf administrator and depart on Wednesday, 18th January.
