There was a relatively small turnout of only 58 players for the game at Bluff National on Tuesday 9th July, which was a pity, as it was a glorious, calm and sunny day considering we must be close to mid-winter at present. However, the winter conditions of the course did have an impact on scores as can be seen on the overall results sheet for the day with the exception of a few who managed to play solid golf to end up in the winning circles.

Ex local member Noel Parsonage (pictured) must have felt at home and managed to play solid golf to finish with 72 gross to take first place in the “A” Division. Second place went to Rajen Sewgolum with 77 gross while the Best Nett went to Eric Jarvie with 76 less 4 = 72 nett and runner-up Martin James with 80 less 5 = 75 nett.

There were three players tied in the “B” Division on 37 individual stableford points with first place going to Mark Thorpe, second place to Babs Govender and third place to Leigh Branders on a count-out basis.

There were only 11 players in the “C” Division so only one prize was awarded and this went to Kumar Naidu with 38 individual stableford points.

Our next monthly tournament is scheduled to be played at Prince’s Grant on Tuesday 20th August 2024. Be sure to get your names in early for this popular venue. Please note that the Umdoni game scheduled for early August has been moved to 5th December.
