KZN Senior Amateur Results from Royal Durban, 19th November 2024

There were some very good scores returned at the Senior Monthly tournament held at Royal Durban Golf Club on Tuesday 19th November 2024 in spite of the condition of the greens which have not yet fully recovered from recent “Spring Treatment”. However, with tee markers moved up shortening the course and an assisting south wind, good scoring was to be expected.

Winning the A Division with a three-under gross score of 69 was Murray Gilson who played great golf on the day. Runner-up with a solid round of level par gross 72 was Rajen Sewgolum. The Best Nett score in the A Division went to Kevin Curren with a score of 75 less 5 handicap = 70 nett. Second, on a count out, was Andy Forde with a score of 76 less 6 handicap = 70 nett.

There were some excellent scores in the B Division as well with SS Mzimela taking first place with a score of 43 individual stableford points. Second with 40 points was D. Thathiah and third was Bushy Boshoff with 38 points.

The C Division also produced some great scores. Winner of the C Division was Devan Govender with 42 individual stableford points counting-out Nkosinathi Lange into second place, also with 42 points.
