Ernie Els and Fancourt Foundation member, Johndre Ludick, won the 2025 KZN Amateur Qualifying Strokeplay tournament at Selborne Park Golf Club this past weekend with a score of 67/64 131 to get through to the Matchplay tournament. Johndre had a 6 shot lead over Nicko Venter from Serengeti Golf Club.

Despite intense competition, Johndre went on the win the Matchplay beating Devon Valentine from Humewood Golf Club, 3 & 2 on the last hole on Sunday.

Johndre, hailing from Graaf-Reinet Golf Club, also won the KZN Open Strokeplay in May this year which was held at Prince’s Grant Golf Club.
