The KZN Disabled Open was a great success and our golfers achieved World Ranking points for the event. Our thanks to Neil and Brian for attending and we hope that they enjoyed the day.
The Interschools was enjoyed by all the children and Sandile did a superb job of organizing the day with all the necessary red tape of indemnities, transport, equipment and setting up. I am so proud of the work that Sandile and his team of Thembaleni and Raphael are doing.
We have also managed to allocate some of the DSAC funds for a KZN Regional Deaf Interschools. We have tasked Sandile with training the deaf students and having a Regional (9 or 18 hole) competition by August. We have done this with all our regions as we do not have funding for a National Interschools. The children that win at the regionals will be given golf course membership and we will invite them to play in the Tshwane Open and Cape Town Open.

Date : 14 May 2023
Tee Times : To be Confirmed
- Next Provincial Day has been scheduled for the 14th of May 2023 at the historical Royal Durban Golf Club
- We are having two regional days in the month of May; reason we didn’t find a suitable venue for the April Regional Day.
FIRST SWING PROGRAMME (FSP)
- Our First Swing Program is going well in all the schools we look after, Thembelani and Raphael are doing an amazing work and the level of work done on a weekly basis is outstanding to say the least.
- Kyle has started with his training at Mount Edgecombe Driving Range every Thursday and Mdu will be joining our training as well, and I am looking forward in seeing these gentlemen on the course in future.
- Kids were very excited with the Inter-Schools Tournament staged at Mount Edgecombe Country Club on the second of May
- I’ve made sure that all the schools are present for the event and every participant had to fill in an indemnity form before travelling with the school.
- With the announcement of the deaf inter-schools Tournament ,We are very excited and ecstatic and the preparation will begin as soon as possible to allow participants in both schools enough time to practice and prepare thoroughly
