Some excellent scores were returned at the monthly tournament played at Royal Durban Golf Club on a breezy 1st August 2022. Admittedly, some of the tee boxes had been moved up quite a bit, shortening the course somewhat, however some very good golf was obviously played.

Winning the A Division was Lyall McNeill with a two-under gross 70. Second place went to Guy O ‘Connor with gross 72. Best nett in the A Division went to Murray Gilson with gross 71 less 1 h’cap = 70 nett. Second was Dave Fisher with gross 78 less 8 h’cap = 70 nett.

As mentioned, there were some excellent scores returned, especially in the B Division where the winning score was 45 stableford points posted by Dave Malan playing off an 18 handicap. Second was nKosinathi Langa with 44 points also playing off an 18 handicap. Third was Robin Singh with 42 points playing off a 10 handicap and fourth was Ronnie Nair with 40 points playing off a 10 handicap.

Also some good scores in the C Division with Cecil Prinsloo winning with 39 points playing off a 21 handicap counting out Paddy Sookdeo also with 39 points who was playing off a 22 handicap.
