There was a good turnout at the ever popular Selborne Park Golf Club on Tuesday 21st July 2026 on a fine winter’s day with just enough breeze to make the course interesting and a challenge for some. Selborne was in great condition and a pleasure to play. Good form by Sean Fenger saw him coming home on level par 72 gross to take first place in the A Division with Phillip Grant three shots back on 75 to take second place. The Best Nett prize in the A Division went to Andy Forde with a score of 75 gross less 2 handicap = 73 nett.  Andy (L) and Sean (R) are pictured together at prizegiving. The runner-up Best Nett prize went to Steve Hughes with a score of 77 gross less 4 handicap = 73 nett.

Some steady golf by the B Division players saw Glen Sithole doing enough to win with 35 individual stableford points on a count out basis from Gary Snodgrass who was placed second, and Brian Olsen placed in third, all with 35 points respectively.

There was a vast range of scores in the C Division but Balan Govender managed to take first place with 39 individual stableford points, counting out Ugen Naidu into second place also with 39 points. Other good scores in the C Division, but not earning any prizes, were Brian Avnitt and Logan Puckree with 38 points respectively and Ricky Brown with 36 points.

Our next monthly tournament is scheduled to be played at Bluff National Golf Club on Tuesday 18th August. This event will also include the annual Senior Trophy competition which is sponsored by KZNGU. Get your entries in early to avoid disappointment.

Many thanks to our sponsor, the Golfers Club for their continued support.
