The 2025 Maritzburg Open was played at Maritzburg Golf Club this year and 34 players teed off for the tournament.

Winner of the 2025 Maritzburg Open, held on Sunday 19th October, was Byron Coetzee (featured) from Kloof Country Club. Byron shot rounds of 71 ,74 /145 and beat Darryn Potgieter from Simbithi CC 73.73/146 by a shot. Lusanda Zondi from Kilbarchan GC came a close 3rd with a score of 71,76/147.

The B division field was won by Lungisani Majola who had home advantage and scored 78/79/157 beating Matthew Janks 77,87/164 from Gowrie Farm GC.

The final sub-union tournament in 2025 is the Southern KZN Open which is taking place on Sunday 16 November at Southbroom GC. The entry is available on the website.
