KZN Senior Results Umhlali CC – 8th October 2025

The expected rain forecast for Wednesday 8th October thankfully did not materialise for the KZN Senior Amateur monthly held at Umhlali Country Club, however players were met with some gusty and sometimes quite strong winds which made scoring just that much more difficult as evidenced by the scores returned across all divisions on the day. Umhlali was in great condition and the subtle breaks and speed of the greens most certainly caught out a few of the participants.

The best gross score in the A Division of four over par was returned by Himesh Sewsunker (pictured) and Keith Forde respectively, with the first place prize going to Himesh Sewsunker on a count-out basis, leaving Keith having to settle for second. The Best Nett prize in the A Division went to Dean Stopforth with a score of 76 gross less 7 handicap = 69 nett. Second Best Nett was Kenneth Commins with a score of 78 gross less 6 = 72 nett.

In the B Division, Bushy Boshoff took first prize with a score of 37 individual stableford points playing off an 11 handicap. Second was Leon Maritz with 35 points playing off an 11 handicap, counting-out Mzwakhe Dlamini playing off 12 into third place who also had 35 points.

Some good scores in the C Division given the tricky conditions, with Dereck Jordaan taking first place with a score of 37 individual stableford points playing off a 28 handicap . Second was Bridg Rambujan with 36 points playing off a 27 handicap and third was David Malan with 35 points playing off a 19 handicap.
