KZN Senior Results from Umdoni Park Golf Club 17/7/2025

It was a little disappointing to find that this little gem on the south coast of KZN had lost some of its sparkle as a result of the winter conditions having had an impact, especially on the greens, at Umdoni Park GC. Nevertheless, some good golf was played on a super day out.

Monay Pretorius was the A Division winner, having played steady golf to finish with one under par gross 71, three shots ahead of Alex Pillay, Ashwin Krishen and Dean Stopforth, all on 74 gross. Alex Pillay was awarded the runner-up gross prize on a count-out basis. The Best Nett prize in the A Division  therefore went to Dean Stopforth with a score of 74 gross less 4 handicap = 70 nett, with the runner-up prize going to Mike Atkinson with a score of 79 gross less 8 handicap = 71 nett.

The B and C Division players returned some impressive scores on the day. The B Division winner was Siebert Neethling with a score of 38 individual stableford points. Second place went to SS Mzimela with a score of 37 points. The C Division was won by Michael Curry with an excellent score of 45 individual stableford points with Dean Algar taking second spot with a good score of 39 points.
