Slightly cooler weather was enjoyed by the 91 players that turned up at the popular Cotswold Downs venue for the April KZN Senior Monthly tournament on Thursday 25th. As usual, Cotswold was in beautiful condition with receptive greens a pleasure to putt on although some may have found the greens a bit tricky as reflected in the overall scoring on the day.

But there were those that revelled in the conditions and returned some very good scoring in all divisions. In the A Division, Mike Matthews (pictured) shot a level par gross 72 to take first place with Alan Landsberg and Ashwin Krishen four shots back with 76 respectively in second place. Although Andrew Forde returned a gross 74, he was awarded the Best Nett prize with a score of 74 less 3 handicap = 71 nett.

An excellent round by Chris Howarth returning a score of 42 individual stableford points saw him take the B Division first place prize followed by Bruce Schefermann with 38 points and Morgan Subramany with 37 points.

The C Division was won by Alan Cretten with a score of 39 individual stableford points countin out Devanand Brijlall also with 39 points. Sam Pillay followed with a score of 37 stableford points.
