A total of 89 players turned out for the Senior Amateur monthly tournament at the picturesque and rolling layout of Cotswold Downs on Tuesday 7th February 2023. The course was in supurb condition and the greens, as always, fast and true. There were some good scores recorded in all divisions and all the results can be found under the Downloads column under the Senior News TAB in the left hand margin of the page.
Pictured above being congratulated by Richard Nel is Keith Forde who took first place in the A Division with a good score of gross 71 playing of a scratch handicap. Runner-up was Alan Landsberg (pictured below) with a gross 73 playing off a 6 handicap, counting out Lyall McNeill, also with a gross 73 in the process.
The Best Nett prize in the A Division went to Noel Parsonage who also played steady golf to finish with gross 73 less 7 h’ cap = 66 nett. Noel is pictured below with Richard Nel.
The runner-up Best Nett in the A Division went to Craig Allen with a score of 73 gross less 4 h’ cap = 69 nett.

There were even better scores in the C Division where only two places were paid out due to the lower number of players that entered this division. On a great winning score of 45 individual stableford points was Ajith Ramburran playing off a 20 handicap. Second was Ganas Naicker only two points adrift with 43 points playing off a 19 handicap (no photographs available). Other good scores in the C Division but not earning any prizes were Domingos de Jesus with 41 points, Sagie Reddy with 40 points, Alan Cretten also with 40 points and Leigh Branders with 37 points. Well played all of you.
